Years later he addressed the United Nations in Geneva where he spoke about the need to invest more in Africa’s potential and allow access to technology for all. More recently he led the IBM developer marketing organization that was tasked with providing technology and code to software developers in Africa. Duffy’s most recent trip to Africa was spent visiting his brother and their family who were living in Johannesburg, SA. Africa holds a special place in Duffy’s heart and he is happy for another chance to give back via Hemle.
